Rob Thomas
Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Director)
B.Sc(Hons), Liverpool University, Ph.D, Nottingham University.

Rob has over 17 years experience in the coal mining industry. His main areas of expertise include ground support & control, geological mapping, pre-stressing of roof bolts & long tendon cables, evaluation & development of ground control products, underground monitoring and extensometry, roof support performance, geotechnical risk assessments, strata management plans, underground stress management, pre-driven roadways, chain pillar & yield pillar design, mine layout assessments and mine feasibility studies.

David Hill
Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Director)
BSc (Hons) Nottingham University, Mine Managers Certificate South Africa, Grad Dip in Engineering University of the Witwatersrand

David has over 20 years experience in the coal mining industry. His main areas of expertise are mining geotechnics, including underground strata control, mine design, subsidence assessment & surface slope stability, production & planning, design of mining systems and management of all aspects of mining services including geology.

Robert Trueman

Bob has extensive experience working within the underground coal and metalifferous mining industry and in research fields related to underground coal and metalifferous mine geotechnics. He has held senior research positions including that of Principal Research Fellow (Mining) at the University of Queensland. His main areas of expertise include longwall geomechanics, powered support specification and operation, underground stress measurement, application of rock mass classification schemes and mine feasibility studies

Michael has over 7 years experience in the coal mining industry. His main areas of expertise include ground support and control, longwall geomechanics, underground mapping and monitoring, geotechnical risk assessments and strata management plans.

Christine has over 4 years experience in underground coal mining. She has a strong background in underground mapping, borescoping, data analysis and management of industry databases. Christine's experience also includes auditing of roof support designs and the adequacy of the installed supports.
